Privacy Policy
Learnkufic is an independent study platform. We collect the minimum amount of personal data needed to give you an account, remember your lesson progress and keep the site working.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy describes how Learnkufic ("the site", "we") processes personal data when you visit the site, create an account or record lesson progress. It applies to all pages served under this domain.
By using the site you agree to the processing described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
2. Data we collect
Account data: the email address you register with and, optionally, a display name. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Learning data: which lessons you mark as complete, and settings you choose for the practice grid. Where you are signed out, this information stays in your browser only.
Technical data: standard server request information such as browser type, approximate region and timestamps, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
3. How we use data
We use account and learning data solely to operate the service: authenticating you, restoring your progress across devices and providing member lessons. Technical data is used for security, debugging and capacity planning.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
4. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on the performance of a contract (providing the account and lessons you request) and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functional.
5. Storage and retention
Account and progress data are stored with our hosting and database provider under contractual data protection terms. Data is retained while your account is active.
If you delete your account, associated account and progress records are removed within thirty days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use only functional storage: a session token that keeps you signed in, and browser local storage for lesson progress and practice settings. No third party advertising or tracking cookies are set.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to processing or request data portability. Requests can be made from the settings page or by contacting us.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be indicated by a revised effective date at the top of this page.
